ASI Awarded B-52 Mission Employment Trainer Family of Systems Contract
Tampa, FL (September 10, 2026) – ASI (Aero Simulation, Inc.) has been awarded the B-52 Mission Employment Trainer (MET) Family of Systems (FoS) contract. The award covers execution of the initial Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM), with contract options extending through Critical Design Review (CDR), prototype development, and production of Weapon System Trainers (WSTs) and Cockpit Procedures Trainers (CPTs).
ASI brings direct B-52 MET experience to this effort. Under their prior Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract, ASI developed a mixed reality B-52 Medium Fidelity Mission Employment Trainer (MFMET) pilot station, full device critical design, and virtualized several aircraft Operational Flight Programs (OFP).
"Our B-1 and B-52 SBIR experience means we're not starting from zero on this program — we know this platform, we understand all the requirements, and we're structured to move fast through each gate." said Mike Conti, President and CEO of ASI. "Our focus now is on getting high-fidelity, concurrent training devices into the hands of B-52 aircrew as quickly as possible by leveraging our cutting-edge RASTER architecture."
The program will be executed at ASI's Tampa facility, with future deliveries and sustainment support planned at Barksdale Air Force Base and Minot Air Force Base. Additional information regarding ASI’s B-1 and B-52 work and their RASTER architecture can be found on ASI’s website.
