C-130H Rehost, Flight Model,

and Control Loading

Customer: Lockheed Martin

Contracting Agency: Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Wright-Paterson AFB

User: U.S. Air Force

This effort provided new computational technology rehosts to 11 C-130 Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs) at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, McChord Joint Base, Washington, Minneapolis Air National Guard (ANG) Minnesota, and Dobbins Air Reserve Base (ARB), Georgia.

As a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training, ASI developed this project as a follow-on to ASI’s C-130 Electric Control Loading (ECL) and Fight Dynamics upgrade for 10 ATDs – and was based on ASI’s highly successful business practices and on- time delivery capabilities.

The combination of these two programs provided state of the art computational system with a new Flight Dynamics model and Primary Flight Controls updates to meet the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Level C performance for the C-130H training community for the first time.

These programs required the design, development, integration, and test of new control loaders, new flight models, and new computational systems.
