UH-1N
Customer: Lockheed Martin Simulation Training & Support User: U.S. Air Force Aircrew Training & Rehearsal Support (ATARS) Program ASI was selected by Lockheed Martin to upgrade the U.S. Air Force (USAF) UH-1N ROFT as part of the ATARS Flight Improvement Program. The purpose of this upgrade was to improve the fidelity of the training system to provide required aircrew training and mission rehearsal capabilities located at Kirtland AFB, NM. The UH-1N ROFT training device provides training and rehearsal support for the Special Operations Forces. The following UH-1N systems were developed and/or integrated by ASI:
ASI also provided Program Management and Logistics Support services to support the successful completion of this program. Delivery Status and Customer Satisfaction Deliveries were on time with complete satisfaction by the customer and the users. About the UH-1N Huey
The UH-1N is capable of flight in instrument and nighttime conditions. The crew complement is normally two (pilot and co-pilot), but may be flown single-pilot depending on weather and mission requirements. The crew complement for hoist, water and navigational operations is three, adding a flight engineer. When configured for passengers, the UH-1N can seat up to 13 people, but actual passenger loads are dependent on fuel loads and atmospheric conditions (may be less). The medical evacuation configuration can accommodate up to six litters. Without seats or litters, the cabin can carry bulky, oversized cargo. Access to the cabin is through two full-sized sliding doors.
