The 902A700002-01 Stormscope simulates a BF Goodrich WX-1000+ stormscope. The Stormscope provides a display of lightning strikes within storms in the simulated environment surrounding the trainer. It is comprised of the following components:

  • WX-1000 display, 78-8060-5900-8
  • AAeon single board computer
  • ATX power supply
  • Stormscope interface, AIA1187

The Stormscope uses an Ethernet interface for communication with the host computer. The Stormscope can be tailored to match the specific installation of the simulated aircraft. ASI presently has simulations for the Navy E-2C and the Coast Guard HU-25 Aircraft. The Aero Simulation Stormscope is a direct replacement for the AIA1164-11, AIA1165-11, and AIA1166-11 part numbers.
